I wanted to shoot something raw, not scripted, not “performed,” just a real emotion arriving in real time.

So I brought a few coworkers separately in front of the camera, had a nice chat, and asked them to stand in front of my lens. Saying stuff like: don't overthink it, I'm just taking random pictures, I'm testing the frame on you...etc.

Then I said one line: something I knew would press the wrong button.

What I was chasing wasn’t drama. It was that very specific moment when anger shows up: first as a tiny shift in the eyes, then a tightening in the jaw, then a whole body starting to argue before the mouth even does.

Anger is strange like that. It doesn’t politely knock. It rushes in, grabs the steering wheel for a second, and suddenly the person you know is replaced by a version of them that’s defending something… even if they don’t fully know what yet.

That’s what this piece captures: how fast irritation becomes heat, how a joke can turn into a trigger, how anger can overtake someone before they’ve decided to be angry. And because the setup is simple: just a face, a lens, and a sentence. Then the reaction creates the story.
