ROLE
Some cars are made to move through the streets. Others bring the energy of the streets with them.
For the launch of the all-new Nissan Kicks, the traditional automotive reveal was thrown out the window and replaced with something closer to a live cultural performance. An immersive experience inspired by street culture, music, movement, and self-expression, designed to introduce the Kicks as more than just another car on the road.
At the heart of the experience stood a massive six-and-a-half-meter ramp, hiding the spectacle in plain sight. Guests walked beneath it, unaware of what was about to unfold. Then came the drop. Dancers emerged, lights synchronized, LED wristbands lit up across the crowd, and two Nissan Kicks descended from above, all driven by the beats of a DJ suspended mid-air. Every element was choreographed to create a reveal that felt more like a concert finale than a car launch.
Beyond the main spectacle, interactive installations brought the Kicks' customization features and technology to life, while a dedicated Ride & Drive experience gave guests the chance to get behind the wheel and experience its agility firsthand.
Our challenge was to capture an experience that never stood still. With multiple activations unfolding across the venue, we needed to translate the energy, movement, and spontaneity of the event into compelling, social-first content, without missing the moments that made it special.
I led a five-person content production team of three videographers, one photographer, and one editor, strategically coordinating coverage across the venue while overseeing an agile, on-site production workflow. We balanced cinematic event coverage with rapid-turnaround editing, delivering content ready to go live on the same day, while simultaneously building a comprehensive visual library for the brand's ongoing social communications.
The result was an extensive collection of content that captured the launch from every perspective, from the scale of the reveal to the smallest moments of audience excitement. Turning a high-energy, one-night experience into a continuous stream of visual storytelling that kept the spirit of the Kicks moving long after the lights went down.
