“What is greatness?”
It’s a dramatic question… unless you’re a tortilla chip. Then it becomes very practical: can you survive the dip?
That’s the whole angle we built for Old El Paso’s new tortilla chips. Turning a simple product truth into a ridiculous, philosophical mini-story. The joke is that the chip is deeply existential about greatness… and the payoff is that its greatness is real: it can be dipped in basically anything without breaking, unlike the usual suspects.
We created two hero videos across two shoots to tailor the same story for different platforms:
a vertical version for fast-scrolling social (Facebook / Instagram / Snapchat / TikTok)
a horizontal version for YouTube, paced like a proper mini-film
And because the concept begged for an epic narrator, we went full “documentary voice of God”… with a Morgan Freeman-style impersonator (sadly, not the real one) to tell the story like this chip is rewriting history.
A playful campaign that treats snack behavior like mythology.
"The chip that can handle any dip!"
An achievement worthy of a dramatic monologue.
